Tadan Middleton

Age: 9

Hometown: Jacksonville, Florida

 "I want other kids to know that -- with epilepsy -- I can do all the things they can do. I am no different."

Tadan is a charming, determined 9 year old with a compelling story. Despite his seizure disorder, he is a normal child who loves all things outdoors especially fishing and sports.

While vacationing with his family, Tadan experienced his first seizure at 5 years old. Before the diagnosis, the Middleton family was getting ready to move overseas. Their plans drastically changed, however, when they learned about Tadan's condition. Like others, Tadan has had a long battle to gain control of his seizures.

With his seizures in check, Tadan focuses on maintaining an A average and credits the medication for his ability to perform well in school.
