WASHINGTON, DC, July 26, 2007 -- On the 17th Anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disability Act, Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) joined House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (MD) in introducing the ADA Restoration Act of 2007, legislation to ensure the rights of individuals to be judged based on performance. It restores the original intent of Congress, harmonizing the ADA with other civil rights laws and requiring the courts to interpret the law fairly. (Transcript)
